Yeah I don’t think transferring is that easy. If you can apply for PR it’s easier usually.
Yes but currently it's taking around a year for Canada express entry PR. Afaik, they haven't conducted draws for outland applicants since the start of pandemic. Internal transfer to Canada on a work permit only takes few months. Depends on the company's policy though whether they transfer ppl or not.

Not sure about transferring, but unlike USA, you can apply for permanent residency if you have a diploma + some work experience, and then pick any company you like
